ABOUT TOLKIEN
Tolkien comes from our friends at Allerian and AliAK Kennels. Tolkien is a standard size Klee Kai measuring 16.5 inches at the withers. His exuberant personality and desire to please is quite infectious! At the age of 7 months old, he competed at Premier in Kalamazoo, MI and earned his UKC Championship title, Rally Obedience 1 title, and our first UKC Total Dog Qualifier.
Tolkien began showing in conformation at exactly 3 months old, and went on to win several Best Puppy and Reserve Best Puppy in Multi Breed Show. From day 1, he started to train in general obedience as well as trick training and rally obedience and quickly caught on. His favorite tricks include "high five" and "wave".
Tolkien earned his UKC Grand Champion title, as well as his UKC SPOT title and AKC CGC title in early 2016. In February 2016, he was awarded our first Best in Multi Breed Show!
Judges have consistently praised his temperament and structure, and we are grateful to have this wonderful boy as our first intact show male at Thurisia Kennels.
